Put your other foot directly behind this foot with toes touching the heel of the first foot and the back heel of the second foot should be raised a couple inches. Your feet should face your opponent at 45 degrees. With a straight back, bend your knees slightly. Let your arms tuck into your sides, raise them up so they protect the front of your body. Your hand should be in front of your face.

Although you are slightly crouched into a position you must stay loose at all times and only get tense on impact. With each hit you must turn your feet into the direction of your opponent. When you hit with the hand opposite of your writing hand, lean in with leg so that this forces you to have extra strength in your punch.
